Privacy Policy – Binaire: Binary Puzzle

This Privacy Policy applies to the Binaire: Binary Puzzle mobile application (the "Application"), developed by Robbe Deboosere (the "Service Provider"), an individual developer based in Belgium. The Application is ad-supported and provided "AS IS".

2. Information Collected

The Application may automatically collect:

IP address and approximate location (country/region level)
Device type, model, and operating system
App version and mobile browser type
Unique device identifiers (e.g. advertising ID)
App usage data (screens visited, time spent, session duration)
Crash and performance diagnostics

The Application does not collect precise real-time location. The Application does not use AI technologies to process your data. Registration is not required.

3. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR Art. 6)

Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)): For personalised advertising via AdMob. You will be asked for consent before personalised ads are shown and may withdraw at any time.
Legitimate Interest (Art. 6(1)(f)): For Firebase analytics to understand usage and improve the Application.
Legal Obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)): Where required by applicable law.

4. Purpose of Processing

Operate and improve the Application
Display advertisements (personalised or non-personalised, based on your consent)
Analyse usage and fix technical issues
Send important service-related notices

5. Advertising & Third-Party Services

The Application uses Google AdMob to serve ads. Depending on your consent, AdMob may use your advertising ID to show personalised ads. If you decline, non-personalised or limited ads are shown instead.

The Application uses Google Analytics for Firebase for anonymised usage analytics.

The Service Provider may also disclose information as required by law, to protect legal rights, or to prevent fraud.

6. International Data Transfers

Google (AdMob and Firebase) may process your data on servers outside the EEA, including in the United States. Google relies on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission. See Google's Privacy Policy for details.

7. Data Retention

Automatically collected information is retained for up to 24 months, after which it may be stored only in aggregated, anonymised form. User-provided data is retained as long as you use the Application and for a reasonable period thereafter.

8. Your Rights (EEA / UK / Switzerland)

Right of Access (Art. 15): Request a copy of your personal data.
Right to Rectification (Art. 16): Request correction of inaccurate data.
Right to Erasure (Art. 17): Request deletion of your personal data.
Right to Data Portability (Art. 20): Request your data in a machine-readable format.
Right to Restrict Processing (Art. 18): Request limited processing in certain circumstances.
Right to Object (Art. 21): Object to processing based on legitimate interest.
Right to Withdraw Consent: Withdraw consent at any time; this does not affect the lawfulness of prior processing.
Right to Complain: File a complaint with your national DPA. In Belgium: Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit (GBA).

9. Opt-Out of Personalised Ads

Update your consent preferences in-app at any time, or via your device settings:

iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking
Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Delete advertising ID

You may also stop all data collection by uninstalling the Application.

10. Children's Privacy

The Application is not directed to children under 13. The Service Provider does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe your child has provided personal data, contact deboosererobbe2001@gmail.com and it will be promptly deleted.

11. Security

The Service Provider takes reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

12. Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated periodically. Changes will be communicated by updating the effective date on this page. Continued use of the Application constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
